Vietnam earns 7.4 bln USD from coffee exports in 10 months

HANOI, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's coffee exports brought in 7.41 billion U.S. dollars in the first 10 months of this year, up 61.8 percent year-on-year, Vietnam News Agency reported on Wednesday, citing the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.

During the period, coffee exports rose 13.5 percent in volume to 1.3 million tons, the report said.

Germany, Italy and Spain were the three largest importers of Vietnamese coffee, accounting for 13.4 percent, 7.8 percent and 7.4 percent of the total market share, respectively.

The average coffee export price reached 5,653 U.S. dollars per ton from January to October, the local daily Kinh Te & Do Thi reported.
