EAGAN, Minn.The Vikings are opening their 2025 regular-season slate by visiting the Chicago Bears at 7:15 p.m. (CT) Monday, Sept. 8.

Quarterback J.J. McCarthy is set to make his first start at Soldier Field in his hometown.

It will mark the seventh time the Vikings have opened a season on Monday Night Football and the fifth time in the past 20 seasons (1971, 1972, 2006, 2008, 2015 and 2017). It will be the 19th time in Minnesota-Chicago series history for the franchises to meet on MNF.

BROADCAST TV

ESPN and ABC (KSTP in the Twin Cities) will offer a simulcast of the game.
