GENEVA, March 27 (Xinhua) -- The draw of the 2023 FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup was held in Madrid, Spain on Monday, with 16 teams divided into four groups in the preliminary round.
All 16 teams in the tournament will advance to the knock-out round, or Final Phase, with a single-elimination format in place from the round of 16 onwards, according to FIBA.
Taking place between July 15-23, this will be the first official FIBA competition to use a glass-floored court.
Group A: Argentina, Spain, Australia, France
Group B: Mali, Germany, Chinese Taipei, United States
Group C: Japan, Lithuania, Brazil, Italy
Group D: Egypt, Canada, China, Czech Republic
