AD carry Martin "Rekkles" Larsson will not return to G2 Esports' League of Legends team next year, Dot Esports reported on Tuesday.

Per the report, G2 Esports have begun the process of selling the contract of the 25-year-old Swede. His contract expires in November 2023.

Rekkles joined the team in November after spending his previous eight years with Fnatic, with whom he cemented a notable reputation for himself as one of the best ADCs in the region.

G2 and Rekkles have been at odds of late, with the organization calling a late audible to send Polish jungler Marcin "Jankos" Jankowski to the 2021 World Championship group draw show last Wednesday. Rekkles initially was slated to attend the show.

Per Dot Esports, G2 Esports are holding tryouts for a successor to Rekkles.
